Language grows through meaningful use. When children have something interesting to observe and something worth saying, they have a natural reason to use English.
My lessons combine visual materials, nature-based topics, guided conversation, and opportunities for children to express their own ideas. Each lesson provides a supportive space to practice English, develop vocabulary, and grow in confidence.

Meet Your Guide
Hello, I'm Katie!
I'm a licensed Mississippi educator with a Master of Arts in Teaching and experience as a school librarian and online English teacher.
I believe children learn language best when they have meaningful things to talk about, opportunities to ask questions, and time to express their ideas. My approach combines thoughtful teaching with nature, visual learning, and conversation to help children use English with growing confidence.
As a teacher and homeschool mom, I value lessons that nurture curiosity while meeting children where they are. My goal is to help each student feel comfortable participating, exploring new vocabulary, and sharing their thoughts in English.
How It Works
What We Emphasize

Choose an available lesson time and complete your online payment.
2. Receive your Zoom link.
You'll receive an email with the information your child needs to join class.
3. Join the lesson.
At the scheduled time, your child joins the Zoom lesson with their webcam on.
4. Explore, learn, and communicate.
We use visual materials, Google Slides, and a document camera to explore topics, practice vocabulary, read, and engage in guided conversation.
